My latest mandala work, the lines hand drawn without ruler or compass for that little bit of organic imperfection as the pen veers off its course both by the visbile texture of the paper and by the limits of my skill as a draughtsman. The line drawing has been scanned and layered with another artwork used for colour reference, and further blended with a scanned piece of zebrawood veneer to give the image an organic wooden texture as well as a glow of golden brown with hints of other colours in the dark veins of the wood.
Born in Norway in 1974, and discovering I knew how to paint in 1999, my work spans a wide variety of styles and media, all the way from traditional oils, pencil drawings and encaustics to digital paintings, 3D renderings and computer generated imagery, with styles ranging from the completely abstract to the sensually figurative.
