Artist's Description

I first learned of the Mandelbrot set in about 1984, finding it very fascinating, but of course, with the limit of what home computers could do back then, ours spent an entire day rendering a screen size (640x480 pixel) picture of it and sometimes just crashed while trying, and I had no way of saving it. Exploring the Mandelbrot set today is fast and easy, but I have not explored it since I started working on art, save for this picture, using the mandelbrot set in conjunction with another mathematical design forming bubble shapes, both together making quite a decorative and colourful picture.
