Beautiful shot!

Artist's Description

Another ultra wide angle shot from the lovely Greek island of Mykonos, of a building appearing to be a chapel or a church, with its typical dome and belltower as well as the fascinating Mykonian architecture that makes the buildings look as if they have grown rather than having been built.

For this image, I wanted as much as possible of the unusually wide street in the foreground, and with the wide angle lens capturing quite a large stretch of it, I had to wait a while before it was clear, but I think it was well worth the wait.

About Hakon Soreide

Hakon Soreide

Born in Norway in 1974, and discovering I knew how to paint in 1999, my work spans a wide variety of styles and media, all the way from traditional oils, pencil drawings and encaustics to digital paintings, 3D renderings and computer generated imagery, with styles ranging from the completely abstract to the sensually figurative.
