I have been using XenoDream on and off for almost 15 years now. For those not in the know, XenoDream is an amazing piece of software that can create three-dimensional objects and textures based on mostly relatively simple mathematical formulas and the interaction between the different ones you add to your scene. At the end of that, there is a myriad of lighting and colouring possibilities as well.
Many of my XenoDream images feature eggs in some form or another. This is just something that happened organically while I was working with the program as I found eggs to be the perfect shape for working with textures, as it is a lot more interesting than spheres.
So, when I started working in XenoDream again a few days ago � after a lengthy hiatus � one of the first things I did was to standardise my textured eggs a bit, make them the same shape and size, and to organise them into a separate folder so I could easily scan through the patterns, regular or chaoti...
Born in Norway in 1974, and discovering I knew how to paint in 1999, my work spans a wide variety of styles and media, all the way from traditional oils, pencil drawings and encaustics to digital paintings, 3D renderings and computer generated imagery, with styles ranging from the completely abstract to the sensually figurative.
