There is a lot of obsession about camera equipment these days, and people often seem to yearn for whatever will give their photos the best technical quality possible, with the highest detail resolution and sharpness.

Sometimes, I am reminded that all of those things don't really matter, like when I found this photo, taken 15 years ago on 35mm film, out at sea during my Navy days.

Though decent, it is not very sharp or detailed by today's standards, and the seagull closest to the camera is slightly blurred, and yet, it does not matter at all, for, at least to me, it has that slightly more elusive quality about it that no amount of photo equipment can help you capture: Emotional Impact.

Born in Norway in 1974, and discovering I knew how to paint in 1999, my work spans a wide variety of styles and media, all the way from traditional oils, pencil drawings and encaustics to digital paintings, 3D renderings and computer generated imagery, with styles ranging from the completely abstract to the sensually figurative.
