Artist's Description

This is a very special painting for me. It may not look much, but it is the one I made at Christmas 1999, the very first time I used watercolour paints. That's when I realised that I could paint, and when I got inspired to paint more and to try out different media.

Without this painting, it is quite possible none of the other creative works displayed in my galleries would have existed.

Hakon Soreide

Born in Norway in 1974, and discovering I knew how to paint in 1999, my work spans a wide variety of styles and media, all the way from traditional oils, pencil drawings and encaustics to digital paintings, 3D renderings and computer generated imagery, with styles ranging from the completely abstract to the sensually figurative.
